Voices of the Sphere
Voices of the Sphere is inspired by a longing to reach and touch the dream of teaching/leading others in a choral setting. This group is led by future music educators, to further practice and put theory into motion. Taking raw artistic decision and inputs into a life-like reality scenario of what it may be like to direct in the future. Whether music is a calling of faith, will, or show of reverence of the mentors before us, we strive to make imperfect music, with an imperfect ensemble, and imperfect director.

Mission
The mission of Voices of the Sphere Choral ensemble is to be a live performing and rehearsing group for music educators on the pathway to having the hours towards their education licensure requirements. These educators will be able to work live in their field of study and get practical hours of putting their studies, observations, and theories towards a group. Preparing them not only for the real-world realities and responsibilities of musicianship, but also to tackle the natural struggles of the spotlight. Anxiety, fear, and all else play into a part of how Conductors perform and therefore impact how the ensemble may perform.
Vision
The vision is to create a lasting ensemble within the greater Knoxville area, that provides a unique and realistic experience towards teaching and learning choral music. The educators, by exploring different rehearsal techniques, tips and tricks, new perspective, and many other ways to influence the interpretation of music. Not only is this a place for music educators, but those who simply want more music in their lives. It's a wonderful way to reinvent oneself and stay connected with music. Not only is this environment meant to be beneficial to future directors, but future performers. Sphere's repertoire strives to be diverse and explorative of the many choral settings of the world. Giving and shedding new light on ways to teach music in different languages.
